Product Overview
The outlet connection is the part of an air conditioner's water drain path most likely to cause problems if it is not sized and positioned correctly, since even a well-formed pan will back up or overflow if the outlet cannot move water away fast enough or does not align cleanly with the downstream drain line. We pay particular attention to this detail because it is often the point where a generic stock pan fails to match a customer's actual equipment, even when the pan's overall dimensions look correct.
Our process starts with confirming the exact thread type, connector size, or fitting style the customer's drain line uses, whether that is a threaded connection, a push-fit fitting, or a simple open spigot designed to accept a hose or tube. We then integrate that outlet detail directly into the pan's formed body during fabrication, rather than adding a separate fitting as a secondary assembly step, which keeps the joint count low and reduces the number of places a leak could develop.
For OEM customers, we can review the full drain path, from coil to outlet to downstream connection, during the design stage, and suggest adjustments such as a larger outlet diameter for higher-capacity equipment or a repositioned outlet to avoid interference with other components in a tight cabinet layout. For replacement and aftermarket orders, we match the existing outlet detail from a sample or clear description so the new part installs without requiring the customer to also replace downstream fittings.
Material selection and finish follow the same considerations as our other AC water management parts, with galvanized steel suited to standard indoor installations and stainless steel recommended for higher humidity or longer service life requirements. We inspect and, where applicable, flow-test the outlet connection on every custom order to confirm it performs as designed before the part goes into production or ships to the customer.

Application
This component is specified wherever the connection between an air conditioner's drain pan and its downstream drain line needs to be built or replaced correctly, covering new equipment development, OEM production, and field replacement of pans with damaged or mismatched outlet connections.
When specifying, provide the exact connector or thread detail from the existing drain line, the expected condensate volume for the equipment's capacity, and any cabinet space constraints that affect where the outlet can be positioned, so the connection is both correctly sized and physically accessible during installation and service.
